Amy’s delightful works are filled with visual interest. Tessellation, the repeat of one particular shape, has always been a fascination to her. Amy says, “Ceramic tiles are like sequins on a dress, the glitter catches the eye, holds your attention and brings your gaze back for a second look.” Tiles, birds, topography, seeds, & flowers are some of the things Amy portrays. Her textures come from hand-made clay stamps. We are very pleased that Amy has chosen to bring her viewpoint to functional high-fired porcelain.
