Dave Bain
Dave retired from a long career as a mechanical engineer, IT professional and manager in 2016. Although he has been a woodworking hobbyist all his life, he began wood turning after seeing some extraordinary examples at a local woodworking guild exhibition. Dave is drawn to segmented work, where the turned object begins as a blank built up of many precisely cut small pieces of wood. He likes the opportunity to showcase the beauty of different combinations of Midwest hardwoods.
