Julie Brand
Julie’s degree in Art Therapy guides her art. For years she has focused on uniting clay & painting. Working with mid-fire stoneware on a potter’s wheel & using hand building techniques, she paints imagery on the unfired surface . After a bisque firing, she adds a medley of commercial & hand-mixed glazes & fires it a 2nd and sometimes 3rd time. Missouri nature surroundings inspire most of her work.
