Words, colors, rhythm, and texture are the inspiration for Sharon’s fiber pieces.
She is a master of Shibori, a time-honored Japanese technique of patterning and dyeing fabric. Using various methods of binding, stitching folding and compressing, the silk fabric is dyed multiple times. The resulting pattern and color is unique and beautifully reveals the creative process.
