Susan Speck
Inspired by literature, myth & music, & from a strong family background of hand-work, Susan pieces together pottery from velvety slabs of porcelain. Negative spaces are filled in with textural elements; seams are highlighted, & colored with stains & washes, the porcelain is glazed. However whimsical & quirky her pieces appear, they are fully functional, meant to be utilized as well as enjoyed. Dishwasher-safe, although Susan recommends washing by hand.
