Yukari Kashihara

Born in Osaka, Japan, Yukari was introduced to ceramics by her father who loved & appreciated pottery, & so frequently took his daughter to ceramics galleries & shops. These experiences throughout her childhood built the foundation for her aesthetics. She first threw pottery in the USA & received her MFA in 2003 under Robert Bede Clark at UMC. She works from her Rocheport studio & teaches at Access Arts in Columbia. Porcelain clay body, or red stoneware.
