Vest with Batik Hummingbirds

Marilyn was as amazing with her sewing machine as with her dye pot. This totally handcrafted vest is embellished with batik hummingbirds (approximately lifesized), each drinking from a flower probably modeled after the hummer's favorite trumpet vine. The garment is made from suede cloth and machine quilted in intricate patterns and very tiny stitches.

This one-of-a-kind garment is not sized, but would be considered a size small. Armseyes measure 18 inches and it hangs approximately 18 inches at the center back.
