Each item in our gallery has been handmade right here in the Midwest. Our first gallery space was opened in 1983 with a handful of local artists.  Today, we carry over 300 artists work and have expanded into 3 gallery spaces nestled on 9th Street in the heart of downtown in The District.

At Bluestem, we are artists and also love telling stories!

The above painting was done by a former Bluestem partner, Cindy Messer. Each purchase you make from our gallery will include a card about the artist who made your piece. We also offer complimentary gift wrapping for all orders, in our signature Bluestem wrapping paper. We can ship from our gallery 7 days a week in person or over the phone.

We also have a website, if you are reading this you've likely found it! Although we don't have all of the pieces in our gallery on our website, we have a good portion. If you ever see anything on our social media you are interested in, feel free to send us a message or give us a call and we can let you know the price and cost to ship.
